weight watchers - week 1.

My first week of Weight Watchers went very well. I've lost another 4 pounds - yay! I was surprised by how well the week went. I have found the first few weeks on Weight Watchers to be difficult in the past because it takes me some time to get used to eating less and for the first week or two I am usually really hungry and shaky all the time. Not the case this time, though. Perhaps because I am entirely too busy to spend time thinking about how hungry I feel!

I got to thinking this week how if I was able to average about 3 pounds a week, I could hit my "losing baby weight" goal AND be just about at my second goal of "being at wedding weight" BY our 3-year wedding anniversary at the end of August. While this is very exciting in theory, I know that some weeks I will not lose as much as I'd like and some weeks I may even gain, so I am not set on hitting that goal - it's just a nice t
hought to keep in my mind through the process!

Something I have had trouble with this week is drinking enough water, eating enough fruits and veggies, and getting in exercise. The day gets away from me so fast that I find it's night time and I have missed a lot of these. My plan is to take the next 3 weeks and make my goal to be able to check off my boxes for each of those things, adding one each week, so that by week 4 I am in the groove of doing them all. This week my focus will
be water-drinking. Since we stopped drinking bottled water and went to Nalgene bottles to cut down on our trash, I forget all the time to fill up my bottle! Hopefully this week will be better.

I believe in rewarding the small goals, so if I can check off all of my water boxes this week, then I am going to buy myself a very special treat. "The Biggest Loser" is one of my favorite shows, and this past season they partnered with Brita for the Filter For Good campaign and I wanted one of the green "Filter For Good" bottles that the co
ntestants were always drinking out of SO BAD. I thought it was kind of silly, considering I currently own two pink Nalgene bottles, so I never ordered one. If I drink all my water - I'm getting one now!
Isn't it lovely? Wish me luck this week, both with the water-drinking and with the overall weight loss. Alexander and Janel came over for dinner last night and Janel seemed surprised that I am on Weight Watchers so soon after the baby being born. I told her I CANNOT handle the weight anymore. I'm fed up! : )

3 pounds?!?!? That's amazing! Great job! I am really looking forward to starting WW as quickly as I can after our little girl is born. Good luck with drinking plenty of water this week. And let us know if you were able to accomplish it.

P.S. I am addicted to the Biggest Loser!!!
