project 365: week 11

June 10, 2009: Bennet is getting four molars at once. This makes for an extremely grouchy baby at times. This was one of the toughest days I've had as a mom. Bennet cried all day, was clingy, and refused to nap. In a desperate attempt to get him out of the house and keep him occupied, we went to the fabric store to do some shopping for some upcoming sewing projects. Here's the mean baby, scowling at me in the parking lot as I put him back in his carseat.

June 11, 2009: Our first CSA pick-up was this week! Bennet loved eating the delicious strawberries straight out of the carton!

June 12, 2009: Andrew and I must have tired Bennet out! After a morning of shopping and running errands, we had lunch at Costco. Bennet took his pizza crust with him, and fell asleep in the car with it in his mouth. Possibly one of the cutest things I've ever seen.

June 13, 2009: Bennet and I spent the weekend at my mom's house, since Andrew was away for his friend Dave's bachelor party. We had dinner at my grandma's house and played in her pool all afternoon. Here we are drying off in our matching beach towels.

June 14, 2009: Bennet's keys! Bennet has been obsessed with my car keys for some time now. He carries them everywhere, teethes on them, and plays with them instead of his toys around the house. After finding them in the trash can, and losing them in stores a few times, I got the idea to make him his very own set of keys. He seems to enjoy them just as much, but he does still reach for my real keys from time to time.

June 15, 2009: I took Bennet to Port Discovery, a children's museum in the city, for the first time. Ashley brought Bennet's girlfriend Fiona, and her older brother Jack. The kids had a great time playing and got to enjoy chicken nugget Happy Meals from McDonald's afterwards - yum!

June 16, 2009: Second-ever haircut! This time, Bennet didn't even need to sit on my lap. He sat on a booster seat, ate a lollipop, and watched "Finding Nemo" on the Cartoon Cuts TV! He did an amazing job. I was such a proud momma. He looks very handsome with his new haircut!

Aww - what a fun week. You must have a blast getting to do all this stuff with him... minus the day he was grouchy-baby, that is.
