project 365: week 14
July 1, 2009: Bennet loves books. Bennet loves Grandma Horne's house because she has an entire office full of books that she lets him pull off of the shelves. On this day, he was being very quiet for a very long time. We had a good laugh when we found him covered in a pile of books. He had a good cry when it was finally time to clean them up.
July 2, 2009: Bennet got a sample of cheese curls at Costco. Lots of gross, orange cheese stuck all over his face, hands and the shopping cart. He was blissfully happy.
July 3, 2009: Andrew, Bennet and I attempted the BWI bike trail for the first time. My handle bars were feeling loose, and by mile 7 of our ride, they were moving side to side and up and down so much that I couldn't ride it anymore! Andrew had to finish the trail alone and come back with the car to pick us up. This is a picture of Bennet and I, sitting on the side of the road, having a snack. Thank goodness I had a snack to keep him busy! Needless to say, we learned our lesson about carrying a small set of bike tools and will be investing in one before we attempt any more trails!
July 4, 2009: One of my favorite parts of life in Locust Point is our fabulous neighbors! Jen (far left) and her husband Chris had a 4th of July party and were kind enough to invite us to come and watch Baltimore's fireworks from their rooftop deck. We had a great time. We love our neighbors so much!
July 5, 2009: Bennet and I posed for a quick picture on the back porch before we rode our bikes to church!
July 6, 2009: Bennet is getting in four molars at once and is pretty miserable. I've been giving him frozen teething rings and popsicles to chew on, but his favorite thing so far has been his pink scissors! They are part of a veternarian play set he has and are his favorite toy! I sure hope his molars come in soon, he is a grump!
July 7, 2009: I took Bennet to his first movie! Marley Station Mall is showing free kids films on Tuesdays and Wednesdays this summer. Today, we watched "Horton Hears a Who." We met Ashley and Jaci there, and all of the kids they nanny for. I wasn't sure how Bennet would do with a full-length movie. He made it through about a half hour of it before he started squirming and crying. Then, we walked around the mall until the movie was over and met up with everyone for lunch at Chick-Fil-A!
