I did some sewing at nap time yesterday, and pulled out a pattern I’ve been wanting to use for a while – The Cinch Skirt – a cute little girls’ skirt pattern that I picked up from the Love, September Etsy Shop a little while ago. Love, September is owned by Bethany, who also writes one of my favorite blogs – The Vermillion Rules. Bethany’s creations are adorable, and her patterns are extremely detailed and easy-to-follow.
I used a leftover scrap of fabric from my New Year’s Eve dress – it’s a stretchy, black fabric with shiny stripes made into it. The tie is a hot pink jersey knit – since it’s almost Valentine’s Day and it’s the season for pink-ness!
I whipped up this little number for my little Valentine in about an hour – the only hard part was waiting for her to wake up from her nap so I could try it on her! Adorable, isn’t it? And Kennedy’s pretty cute, too, if I do say so myself!
This is a fantastic pattern and, since it goes up to size 7-8 – I’ll be making lots of these for Kennedy over the years! Thanks, Bethany, for sharing such a cute project!
(Side note: My baby girl can sit up on her own now! She can only keep it up for a few minutes before she falls over – but she’s getting the hang of it!)

I love the skirt! I kind of want one just like it in my size :) Love that you use leftovers from another dress!
