getting there.

Haven't updated everyone on the baby-weight-losing in a while. I must say it is going very well and I am really pleased with my progress. As of this morning's weigh-in, I have 17 pounds left to lose until I am at my pre-pregnancy weight. Not too shabby considering Bennet is just 3 months old. My plan is still to get to my wedding weight once I lose all the baby weight, but I'm trying to focus on one goal at a time. Baby steps. Baby steps.




The best decision I made was not to follow a particular diet plan, but instead to just make healthy eating choices and to get lots of exercise. So
mehow, when I stopped stressing about following a set plan, the weight really started to come off.

We are indeed getting lots of exercise around here. Bennet and I clock about 3-5 miles of walking a day (I love his Baby Jogger City Mini - it's awesome!) I am still doing wonderfully with my training plan for the 5K. I'm in Week 3 of the Couch to 5K Plan and tomorrow is my final workout from that week. Then it'll be time to step up the running yet again for Week 4. Everything you read and hear about needing exercise in addition to healthy eating to lose weight is absolutely true. Once my body felt up to working out and I started moving again - the results have been phenomenal.





In related "Exercise News," Andrew has off today, so we're headed out and about in the city looking for adventures and some exercise! Not sure where we're headed, or how many miles we'll clock, but the re-cap should make for a fun blog entry tomorrow!

Side note: When I was at the beach last week there was a 5k that started and ended right outside our condo. I totally thought of you and Tammie as you're both training for the run in October!

I am so amazed and proud that you have lost so much weight already. You are inspiring me to be diligent and mindful of what I am doing now so that maybe I will have an easier time losing weight afterwards. And way to go on the running!!!! I know a girl who ran her entire pregnancy and then ran a 5k the month after her baby was born...... CRAZY!!! Lol, but that just might be you after your next one.
