dylan's friend bennet.

I left Bennet with Ashley (the nanny) today long enough to run over to Anne Arundel Medical Center and visit the new Harris! Tessie is precious and I could have sat and held her all day. (Was Bennet ever that small?) J & B, we are so happy for you guys!

I had to take Bennet over to the Fenns house, since A
shley was working for them today. (Sharing a nanny is awesome!) Bennet spent two hours playing with Dilly and Lawsie (Dylan and Lawson for those of you who don't speak Fenn.) and apparently had a fabulous time! When I came back to pick them up, Ashley informed me that they had walked over to the Science Center and played in the children's room there (yet another reason to live in the city - memberships to all these fun places you can take your kids to all the time) for the entire two hours that I was gone. What a big day for Bennet!

My mommy-heart was crushed slightly that I didn't get to take Monkey to the Science Center for the first time (I don't even have a picture of his first trip!) but then when I saw how exhausted he was and knew what a fantastic afternoon nap he was going to take, all mommy-sadness was quickly forgotten.

Ashley said that Lawsie was giving Bennet kisses and playing with him all day, and Dilly couldn't stop talking about "Baby Bennet." He even said to Ashley when I dropped him off, "Oh good, my friend is here."

I asked Dilly if he and Bennet were friends and he very matter-of-factly said to me, "Yes, and he told me he wants to eat fish sticks for lunch with us. He likes them."

Bennet's going to have some great pals once he to the age where he appreciates great pals.

The best friends are the ones who make sure you get included on a fish stick lunch.

I too would love any friend that loves fish sticks as much as I do :)

We have a friend named Dylan who goes by Dilly, too! Love when big kids interpret babies wants and needs.

Did we find out if Nanny Ashley came accross any sirens or lygoriphic episodes with our dear Bennet's waltz through the city?
