project 365: week 70

July 28, 2010: Ashley invited us to come to her house in the morning to swim in her pool. Kennedy wore a very cute dress and headband for the occasion. The outing wore both kids out. Bennet slept in the car on the way home and Kennedy was even sleepier than usual!

July 29, 2010: The kids and I met Andrew at the new house when he got off work so we could drop off some boxes and look things over before we moved in. We walked Bennet down to the community beach and he fit right in with his "pirate shirt." Arrr!

July 30, 2010: Andrew and I spent the day packing the house for the move. Ashley was nice enough to watch Bennet and Kennedy while we packed, so we took her to one of our favorite restaurants, Mexican Cafe, for dinner to thank her! Mexican Cafe is famous for their margaritas and for the long wait for an outdoor table. While we were waiting, we ordered a round of margaritas, which made Bennet very jealous until Ashley had the great idea for Andrew to walk him over to the nearby 7-11 and get him a Slurpee. His cherry Slurpee made his night and, although he didn't eat much of his dinner after eating it, it bought us lots of time to wait for a table and enjoy the nice weather!

July 31, 2010: Our first night in the new house. It was Kennedy's first bedtime in her very own crib in her very own bedroom! Goodbye, bassinet! Goodbye, Momma & Dada's room!

August 1, 2010: Our first morning in the new house! Bennet did a great job sleeping in his new bedroom, and Kennedy spent her first night in her crib in a room all her own! We're so thankful that both kiddos are making the transition so well!

August 2, 2010: We went to Ikea to buy some stuff for the new house, and Bennet managed to talk me into getting him an ice cream cone. He was basically wearing it by the time we got to the car. We had to strip all of his clothes off, wipe him down with baby wipes, and load him into his car seat in only a diaper. You cannot buy that much fun for $1 anywhere else!

August 3, 2010: Bennet always manages to find a neighborhood kitty to love. This cat showed up in our front yard and Bennet spent the afternoon wooing it. He/she didn't seem to know what to think of Bennet, but Bennet was absolutely smitten with his kitty friend!
